does that interface with snd (or another editor) for automatic decode?
For that matter does liba52 interface with snd?

Mplayer uses liba52 (http://liba52.sourceforge.net/), but I'm looking
for more friendly audio editing (yeah, I'll be editing the resultant PCM
and then need to reencode, but that's ok.)
