[linux-audio-user] evolution uc-16

hi list
i try to use an evolution uc-16 midi/usb controller.
using the snd-usb-audio module makes my system recognize my box but as i
connect its midi output to any appz midi input i can't sned any midi
message.
i use the alsa drivers compiled as kernel modules. could it be the reason
that it can't work?

i use Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.10rc3 compiled
as 2.6.15.5 kernel modules
