Assuming you want to use the laptop's internal sound card for convenience in
carrying rather than as a technical challenge, you could order any laptop, fix
problems like singing capacitors yourself :), and use an Echo Indigo PCMCIA
card. That would give you 24/96 conversion quality with at at least decent
converters, but you would still only have on device to lug around.
