no idea, but i use the xmms-jack plugin all day every day to listen to
internet radio, via an RME HDSP + digiface. there are a few problems
(xmms periodically hits a point where it starts eating memory like mad,
or starts burning CPU cycles like mad, maybe once every 36 hours or so),
but its basically all good.
