I had no stability problems with zynaddsubfx. I didn't perform live with 
zyn (my current setups is entirely csound based, it's very stable, and 
I've performed even quite large gigs with it), but I work actively 
towards doing so. I'll have a real life report for you in a couple of 
months, I'll make sure to post my experiences here. You are also welcome 
to mail me at any time to hear my findings any time in the process...
