Though seriously. 
sure, the followers are free to advocate E17, it's probably a nice WM, it's 
no-stable-release-for-aeons status is one major drawback though...

Personally I don't think it's possible to have a united view about this. 
This is also one of the nice things (and bad things) about linux, diversity 
and choice.
As for selecting windows managers in general, it's not really what a audio 
list is about, is it? Hanging (or preferably fixing) the offenders is 
probably a good thing though.
