[LAU] Recover ardour session

Hi!

For reasons I still have to investigate Ardour 0.99.3 (I've not yet been able 
to compile ardour 2.0) crashed and freezed the system. At reboot, the ardour 
session xml file and it's backup became a binary nonsense, while the audio 
files are safe. Is there a way to recover the session or not?
