[LAU] "mp3"-player with ogg?

I have purchased a 2GB iBeat Organix (without FM) last month, and been
really pleased with it.

Cool features :
- line in ; I used it for quickly recording our band in the rehearsal
studio, very handy.
- playback at variable speed ; this alters pitch, but being a drummer,
I found it useful anyway to decipher a performance (it is funny to
listen to, also).


Well, it was all good until the device broke this week, and now
refuses to start.
I am sending it back to customer service ; hope to get one back soon.
I am not too sure what happened to the unit (electrical shock surely
?) : it was plugged to the USB port when I turned my machine off. Then
the display on the device would be all lit, and it would not switch
off. It stayed like this for a few hours, and now, it will no longer
switch on, whether on USB or standalone.

I do not intend to bash this product, as - again-  I am not sure what
happened ; although, I suppose it should survive normal machine
shutdown. Or should I lay the blame on ivman, which maybe did not
unmount it propely ? Or on this machine's admin (aka me) ?

Also, it could be one defective unit, these things happen. Well, I was
keen on sharing the experience, anyway.
