[LAU] MIDI data dump utility

Folks,

  What is the name again of that simple shell utility that simply
displays all MIDI data ?  I'm troubleshooting an Alesis Control Pad
that, although always lights up Qsynth's green light, only manages to
produce a sound from time to time any not on every hit, with just about
the same velocity (i.e. the pad is hit with just about the same force.
The velocity setting is flat.
