Hmmm...   I would suggest that it was some sort of buffer overrun and 
apparently specifically in gstreamer since the xine engine and others 
run ok?   I run Gstreamer 10 without any problems on a Ubuntu Feisty 
Herd 3 system.  What are you running for version and distro?
