I'm in the same situation as you.  I have an Athlon 64-X2 machine 
on which I run a 32-bit SMP multimedia kernel.  I haven't thought to 
try the 64-bit stuff fully yet.  Please do let us know how it works 
for you, what works, what doesn't.  Thanks!
