Here are debian packages of jack 0.102.20, among other things:

http://www.restivo.org/projects/debian/various-etch-audio-backports/

I think the dsc, diff-tar.gz, and orignal-tar.gz are there too. If so, you can dl those, then dpkg-src -x them, then uupdate with the latest 1.103 upstream tarball, and should be good to go.

Maybe if I can get motivated I'll try it and upload a package of 1.103
