Hmm, OK, maybe I'll try again.
IIRC at one point when I was getting my machine set up, lashd was causing jackd to lock up and/or watchdog out (jack.transport was doing the same) so I just stopped using them and reliability went way up.
It'd be nice if elven had, as other programs (fluidsynth?) do, a --disable-lash flag for ./configure.
