Thanks, Leslie, I appreciate the pointer. I already discovered the gtf 
utility, so I tried setting the modelines in my xorg.conf. Alas, I got 
no joy. AVS responds with the same complaint about not being to set the 
window resolution. Time to badger the author some more. :)
