As I said before, I think a forum is good for making the community more 
alive and more open, also for newbies. Also it good be a possibility to 
make things more central in combination with linuxaudio.org.

Why not put a link on the linuxaudio.org site to the forum and 
eventually change the name of the forum if the moderator can agree with 
the suggestion? Or maybe it is possible to change the forum to 
linuxaudio.org (I'm a noob on this area...).

This are my suggestions. I think if the people of linuxaudio.org like 
the idea, they have to make plans and contact the moderator of 
linuxmusicians.com.... which I want to do also, if this is wanted....

I also like the mailinglist and don't want to connect these thing either 
(see message M Knecht). I think such a mailinglist is very nice, but a 
forum is more for people who wants also to communicate and socialize 
more with people, more for the 'mass'. What is wrong with having options 
to choose? And the forum is not a 'if', cause it's exist allready and so 
it looks like people have a need for it....
