[LAU] Which USB MIDI device for Ubuntu *and* Mac OS X?

Can anyone suggest a USB MIDI device compatible with both recent
versions of Ubuntu (e.g. 8.04) and Mac OS X, for use with Rosegarden and
GarageBand?
