hallo ed, thanks for the update!
it is installing and running here well with jack0.109.2 and zynadd, 
altough running 'sudo make install' i get some strange errors:

install -o 0 -g 0 -m 0644 jack-keyboard.png 
/usr/local/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps/jack-keyboard.png
gtk-update-icon-cache -f /usr/local/share/icons/hicolor
No theme index file in '/usr/local/share/icons/hicolor'.
If you really want to create an icon cache here, use --ignore-theme-index.
make: *** [install] Fehler 1


in the end, the appi is installed, but anyway, it looks like not 
everything is ok.
