Hi Dirk,
recently I bought for myself a m-audio Delta 1010lt:
http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/Delta1010LT-main.html
It has 8 analog + 2 digital i/o + MIDI i/o.
Two inputs are balanced xlr with preamps.
