In terms of ease of setup for an audio workstation, I have had great
luck with dyne:bolic. It has its flaws, is very unconventional in
system setup and the current release is a bit out of date, but rarely
do I need to do more than boot with the livecd, set my mixers, start
jack, and start making music when I try it on a new machine - with
most machines, in other words, if the CD is already burnt I can go
from a bare machine to making music two minutes later.
