And yes, I agree with your comments. :-)

I think the problem with the vocals is my fault.  When I 
recorded her, the only pitch reference she had in her 
headphones was acoustic guitar -- no bass.  After I added in 
all the other harmonic parts, the tuning issues showed up.

Lesson learned: the vocalist needs some bass to use as a 
reference.
