... and of no interest or even antagonistic levels of ire to others.
the utter craptitude that OSS advocates put forward never ceases to
amaze me.

its not as if ALSA doesn't have its own problems. but to believe that
OSS is the answer to these problems just boggles the mind.
its also not as if linux audio isn't screwed up enough as it is, and
so along comes yet another API that this time involves *NEW KERNEL
DRIVERS*. awesome. this time its all going to work, yes?
