[LAU] what is needed to record a live jazz combo?

When you say this, you mean that you use ardour to separate the recording into 
multiple songs (tracks) time wise and not to somehow break the various 
instruments out into a multitrack recording with different instruments on 
different tracks right.

I only say this in case someone might think multitrack on first reading.

I do pretty much the same thing with a band and an H4.
