It would immediately drop connection.  I did not spend much time with

0.109.something (whatever is provided by Ubuntu Jaunty).  I just
upgraded some machines to Karmic which provides  0.116.1 but I am, of
course, willing to install/compile anything more recent if it is going
to help my cause.
