I'd be more inclined to say to run two computers.  HyperCanvas and
Virtual Sound Canvas look old enough that they should run fine on a tiny
computer such as an Atom or a P4 from the trash.  Although, if it was
me, I'd rather just buy a suitable sound canvas hardware module.
