As far as I can tell it's purely an old-school editor/librarian, but 
maybe there's a way to use the pedal for mixing. Btw, all communications 
with the device occur over a standard MIDI connection. I tested it via 
the MIDI ports on my SBLive, it works beautifully. Cross-platform, too.
