[LAU] Jack2 and OSS on Linux?

Hello,

Could anyone tell me whether there are plans to extend the OSS support
in Jack2 from Solaris to Linux? I've just switched to OSS4 because ALSA
doesn't support my laptop's on-board sound properly. However I now no
longer have Jack.

If it won't be possible in the near future to use OSS with Jack, might
it be possible to continue using OSS on the internal audio device and
ALSA on my USB audio interface? I'm guessing that it isn't, but you
don't know till you ask.
