As Japa's creator I do agree with this.

You *can* use Japa while mixing, but indeed don't
make the mistake that a 'flat spectrum' is a target
to go for. It isn't. And Japa has more than one idea
of what constitues a 'flat spectrum' anyway.

Japa is a tool like any other, and if I may say so,
a good one. But *you* have to learn and use it, it 
is not a substitute for training your ears, and for
being able to listen critically.
