I can recommend these cheap flashcams like Aiptek...I record dual-system with two of 'em and my desktop audio machine. Use a slate at the head and tail.

Zoom makes one that is supposed to do audio well. Doesn't seem the best all 
around but may do audio well. You could also hook an H4 or something similar 
to a camera. I wonder about the mics picking up camera noise if too close 
though.
