Sorry this was a bit quick and the statement may be misleading:

There's a (old) "low-latency" kernel-patch and also various options to
achieve low-latency with a vanilla kernel.

Those may be good enough for some audio/studio environments, but is not
the same as applying the realtime-preemt patch to the kernel.

The kernel-package-name is made up by your vendor.
It may or may not be a realtime-preemt patched kernel;
`uname -a` will say "PREEMPT" if it is.
