Hi

Sorry, I couldn't help you there, I have no experience with Gentoo and
don't know how to get or why you don't get jack.pc on Gentoo.
Anyway, if you figured out how to solve this, I would recommend to use
the SVN version, there is a small bug in the latest version related to
the Level Meters (channels switched) and the jack survive function is
smother in SVN.
