[LAU] Input almost gone after upgrading from kernel .31 to .33?

Experience with previous kernels and the Audigy sound card is that 
modules have on occasion been broken.  Open alsamixer and closely 
scrutinize all the settings.  One module had the analog and digital out 
switch functionality reversed where on was off!
