Thanks for making this update available. All your programs are very nice.

One issue I've had w/ drumstick, perhaps ever since I installed kmid
(*), is that when I "sudo make install", I end up with binaries that
don't work:

gnulem-301-.../drumstick-svn/build> /usr/local/bin/drumstick-testevents
/usr/local/bin/drumstick-testevents: error while loading shared
libraries: libdrumstick-alsa.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No
such file or directory

However, using the just built binary "in place" works fine:

gnulem-300-.../drumstick-svn/build> bin/drumstick-testevents
  0:0   Note                    0  60 100 120
  0:0   Note on                 1  60 100
  0:0   Note off                2  60   0
  0:0   Control change          3  33  66
  0:0   Program change          4 123
  0:0   Polyphonic aftertouch   5  60 124
  0:0   Channel aftertouch      6 111
  0:0   Pitch bend              7  1234
  0:0   System exclusive          f0 41 10 42 12 40 0 7f 0 41 f7
  0:0 Text (3) This can be a copyright, song name, instrument, lyric...

Note that the install places the following libs, which seem to be
successfully used by other dependent apps like kmetronome/kmidimon (it
complains during build if they're not installed). And yet drumstick
itself isn't seeing them:

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root     22 2010-09-05 19:55 libdrumstick-alsa.so ->
libdrumstick-alsa.so.0*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root     26 2010-09-05 19:55 libdrumstick-alsa.so.0

PS: (*): Ever since installing kmid, I've been seeing this error, not
sure if it's related: /sbin/ldconfig: /usr/lib64/libkmidbackend.so.1
is not a symbolic link.
Yet they're there:

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root      19 2010-08-15 14:42
/usr/lib64/libkmidbackend.so -> libkmidbackend.so.1*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root      23 2010-07-13 12:29
/usr/lib64/libkmidbackend.so.0 -> libkmidbackend.so.0.1.0*
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 2226532 2010-07-13 12:28
/usr/lib64/libkmidbackend.so.0.1.0*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root      23 2010-08-15 15:03
/usr/lib64/libkmidbackend.so.1 -> libkmidbackend.so.1.0.0*
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 2367100 2010-08-15 15:02
/usr/lib64/libkmidbackend.so.1.0.0*
