I'm not saying "don't" -  manuals and other resources are helpful and I use
them too, but it's not the first thing I do when exploring applications.

Blender very much attended to the UI, but it's a program
where you're likely to be lost without manual.

AFAIKT it was a bug in the application. (what else)
I tried a different version with equal issue.
I couldn't wait for that to become fixed
and generally tend to mistrust apps (claimed stable) that crash.
