[LAU] Problem connecting to LinuxSampler

Are you sure linuxsampler is using the port 8888 ?
( maybe the port is taken by another program )

start linuxsampler and try the command:

sudo netstat -paunte | grep ":8888"

or

sudo netstat -paunte | grep "sampler"
