Since being berated for my own "useless uses of cat" I've made it a
personal goal to condense my command line usage to the shortest, most
elegant form possible.

But anyways, "grep PREEMPT config-2.6.39.1" will give you the same
results, spare precious CPU cycles for audio, and reduce the risk of
developing RSI.
