Hi Ken,

I bought an HP Deskjet 6540 many moons ago, on the advice of a Linux 
Printers web site. I love this machine. In my teaching it gets used a 
lot, and no, I don't like buying cartridges, but I haven't bought a new 
one for a long while, I just get the old ones refilled at a local center.

It's not a cheap printer, but I was advised that cheap printers and 
Linux don't mix so well.
