[LAU] ALSA not picking up my USB audio device

hmm, sometimes i get this with usb devices. i run:
sudo depmod
and that usually sorts it out. depmod makes sure all the correct
modules for your hardware are loaded, i'm not sure why they don't get
loaded automatically though.

you may want to run:
man depmod
first, so you understand what it does, rather than listening to some
random dude on the web
