I'm using Arch linux, and the -rt kernel from the ArchAudio repository from  
when I installed.

 From kernel.org: (specifically  
https://rt.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/Main_Page)
3.4-rt is maintained in a git repo:  
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/rt/linux-stable-rt.git

I just done a "pacman -S linux-rt" so I'm of no help to building kernels!
