Others already mentioned some all in one solutions for Windows, I could
add at least one other that is much used, but I don't. You should speak
with your son and/or his friends, what they prefer/use. Likely that they
use all the same all in one solution to share their work.

Perhaps a gift coupon is better than to buy the wrong Windows software.
