jackd: the JACK server (regardless of the version of JACK you are using)
jackdmp: a name used to refer to the version of JACK commonly known as
"JACK2", which has version numbers 1.9.X
jack_control start: a command using a separate tool that uses the JACK
control API to start a server via something that is listening for control
API messages
jackstart: an irrelevant, out of date tool

None of the above really has much to do with MIDI glitches.
