[LAU] re Zoom R16

Hi, 

Excuse my ignorance, but how to I recompile a kernel with the quirk? Or if
you could direct me to the information
I can't find any straightforward instructions anywhere...

Just bought an R16, using Ubuntu Studio 64-bit - 12.04 but will upgrade
shortly (and hopefully have this quirk in the kernel...
