Hi there Tilo -- that's not good! Are you using the .deb file from the
Sonic Visualiser project page (built on Ubuntu 14.04) or did you build
from source?

Can other readers confirm whether they've had the same experience and,
if so, whether it was with Ubuntu or Debian (or another distro
entirely)?
