As long as it's not InterCity (IC) or InterCityExpress (ICE) but
regional/commuter trains, you can take any train as long as it takes the
same route. So it shouldn't matter if you miss the train from the
airport Regionalbahnhof to Mainz and take the next one (or even use the
"S-Bahn") to get there.
