You should avoid ranking and superlatives. There are a few eminent audio
projects, they all together are significant for Linux audio. Just
to name one, Yoshimi. Ardour most likely is the best Linux audio
recording software, but already ZynAddSubFX was used as a stand alone
synth by musicians, who usually don't use Linux.
