[LAU] configuring number of inputs with wineasio

Hi

I run reaper with wineasio. In reaper I can only select input 1-6 (also
last input on the list in preferences->device->asio->last is input_6). I
tried putting

export ASIO_INPUTS=8
export ASIO_OUTPUTS=8

in both .bashrc and .profile (as suggested on
http://proaudio.tuxfamily.org/wiki/index.php?title=ASIO_with_Wineasio#Configure_Wine_ASIO),
but to no avail.

What am I missing?
