Correction, add it to the variable "BACKENDS":

	BACKENDS = jack,alsa
else
	waf-configure-options += \
		--no-fpu-optimization \
		$(empty)
endif

LD_LIBRARY_PATH += :$(DEB_DESTDIR)/usr/lib/ardour4/

waf-configure-options += \
	--with-backends=$(BACKENDS) \
