It's funny observing the 'echo and repeat', these kids are huge fans of
Kings of Leon whose first few albums back in the early 2000's were also a
curious throwback to a kind of earthy primal rock n' roll that was
decidedly unhip at the time... Then things went totally primal with the
whole 2-person bands fad with the White Stripes/Black Keys and bands like
that.

I agree with you that it's great to see that original spark of roots music
continue to take flame in so many various incarnations and often in the
most unexpected places whether it's a concert stage or the club around the
corner.
