It certainly doesn't add to the conversation. It doesn't help OP. It 
draws unnecessary attention to another user's comments. You could have 
simply addressed OP with a contrary opinion or shown, in the nicest way 
possible, that Ralf was wrong (if you had any evidence).

Just sayin'.
