Use lsusb to display all the USB devices, after you know the bus and 
device number for the M64, use -v and -s to display verbose messages for 
that particular device (the argument to -s is bus_number:dev_number).

Email that information to the list, probably someone will be able to 
help interpret how the device is presenting.
