Hey Jeanette,

Why don't you run a screen session and save everything to a log? Then, 
you can take the text itself and render it out in whatever way you need.

Here is what you can do:

screen -L

(Do tty/console stuff)

exit

Then you will have everything you just did in that screen session saved 
to text. On my machine, it saves to screenlog.0 in the directory I 
started screen in.
